John Daly wore some outlandish golf clothing at the Barclays Scottish OpenThe Barclays Scottish Open saw John Daly sport a pair of psychedelic golf trousers, but his stunning dress sense was not replicated in his golfing performance.

A lost ball at the start of the second round of the competition left the American with a real fight on his hands to claim the prestigious title at Loch Lomond.

The bright colours of his golf apparel were in stark contrast to the weather, since it was wet throughout.

Daly, who must have had to invest in a whole new wardrobe of golf clothing after gastric band surgery allowed him to lose eight stone in weight recently, said he still feels competitive at 44 years old.

"Mine is not a Tiger Woods career by any means but it's two Majors and a few wins. It's in the top 20 of anybody who's played the game," he added.

According to PGA Tour records, the player has won almost $10 million on the links in golf apparel over the years.
