Ken Downing may not be well known for his performances in golf clothing, but that could soon change with the opening of his own layout.

Musician Ken Downing has stated that he is lucky to have been able to play in golf apparel on some of the world's finest courses.The player - who may be more famous as the guitarist of rock band Judas Priest than for his golf fashion - has just unveiled his own Shropshire layout, which he designed some of himself, according to the Shropshire Star.
He told the publication that he is happy to have been able to transfer the ideas in his head into a reality for players in golf apparel to enjoy.
Downing was quoted as saying: "I have been lucky to work in two industries that have allowed me to be so creative, especially golf course architecture."
His Astbury Hall golf course will have 18 holes completed and opened to the public by mid-September, but the plan is for the venue to become a 27-hole championship layout.
The nearest major town to the venue is Bridgnorth.
