Many company managers like to play golf, it has been noted, but many emploees may be confused over what sort of golf fashion to sport when teeing off with their boss.

But writing for the Examiner, Dudley B Dawson comments that staff should feel comfortable wearing business casual clothes on the golf course.

"There are very few sports in which it is acceptable to play in business casual clothing. Golf practically requires it. It's a comfortable and familiar environment for a manager," he says.

He quips that when employees hear their manager referring to hydrids, they should not be fooled into thinking that the conversation is about cars.

He says that they are more likely to be talking about hybrid golf clubs, which are made using both wood and iron.

Mr Dawson also goes on to say that managers like to spend money on golf accessories to complement their golf fashion choices.

Golf clothing is an important part of the game, with one writer recently noting the "tremendous history" that comes with the green golf jacket given to Masters champions.
