Rory McIllroy has officially entered the world top ten, after donning his golf apparel and playing in the Dubai World Championship this weekend.Despite coming third in the event, this ranking was enough to place the 20-year-old in the list of the world's ten best players.
McIllroy is now one of only two 20-year-old players to have made it on to the prestigious list, which is currently topped by Tiger Woods.
He was 13th on the list until his Dubai appearance and is now tenth. His win saw him scoop a total of £960,000 for this season.
Event winner Lee Westwood is fourth on the list.
Woods - who first entered the list of the world's best players when he was 21 - has been officially ranked as the best player in the world for the past 233 weeks.
In total, he has been sat atop the list for 575 weeks throughout his entire career.
