The demand for performance golf shirts and sweaters could be set to increase following comments from Greg Norman.

Discussing golf fashion with Golf Week's Ashley Crain, the legend of the sport explained that it is extremely important to make sure players wear comfortable apparel that is appropriate to the course conditions at the time.

Furthermore, he said that he agreed with the mantra that 'if you look good then you feel good'.

And it does not have to just stop there, he suggested, stating that it is equally vital people present themselves well off the golf course.

The Australian added that the players like Ian Poulter are following in the footsteps of golfers from the 1980s by wearing vibrant and flamboyant golf clothing.

Norman is one of the sport's most successful ever players, notching up 91 career victories since turning professional, including two British Open Championship titles in 1986 and 1993.
