Golf apparel suited to warmer climates could be a wise buy for anyone planning to put in a round in Brazil.

Golf apparel might not seem like one of the main items to purchase before heading away on holiday to the South American hotspot of Brazil.

But a spokesperson for the country reveals that Brazil's golf tourism industry is expanding at a relatively rapid pace.

Glauco Chris Fuzinatto, UK and Ireland director of the Brazilian Tourist Office, says: "Golf is growing in Brazil; we have various different events we have done with Nick Faldo.

"We opened the British Open event last year in Southport."

In return, he adds that an increasing number of holidaymakers are indulging in their favourite pastime while staying in Brazil.

For those who do so, the correct golf apparel could be a wise investment.

The Brazilian Tourism Portal advises that the country's coastal regions are warm throughout the year.

As a result, players who choose to pack golf waterproofs as a precaution may be wise to make sure they are lightweight and breathable.
