Golfer Ian Daly is set to launch a new collection of golf bags - but one writer is dubious as to the golf fashion credentials the range might display.

Golfer Ian Daly's plans to launch a collection of golf bags has been questioned by one sports writer, who notes that the new range may feature the golf fashion taste which often sees Daly taking to the course in highly-coloured golf apparel.

Writing for the Daily Record, Bernie McGuire says that the Scottish Open is "all set" to welcome John Daly and his golf clothing.

However, he notes that a pair of trousers seen on Daly earlier this year "left everyone distressed" and questions whether the golfer's new range of golf bags will be popular with players.

"Surely no Scot would be seen dead lugging a technicolour bag about our fairways?" Mr McGuire asks.

Despite this, Daly tells the source he is also planning a range of women's golf apparel - which true to form, is set to be brightly-coloured and wacky.

Pop star Kylie Minogue recently hinted that she may design a range of golf clothing for women - noting that it is sometimes difficult to look stylish on the course.
