Winter gloves 'can improve golf in cold weather'The choice of golf apparel players wear during the winter months can have a major impact on their game.

This is the opinion of Tommy Snell, the golf columnist for the Sun Herald, who stated that golfers naturally play better in summer.

But he said golf apparel selections can make a big difference to the score on the card when the weather gets nippy.

He explained that golf gloves are a must to keep feeling in the fingers when there is a sharp breeze blowing.

"Winter gloves while driving those carts can reduce that handicap," he said.

"Bundled golfers can look great while staying warm, but a good attitude is as vital as long sleeves in January."

Those looking for golf apparel may wish to take inspiration from Spanish golfer Sergio Garcia.

Writing for his Bettor blog recently, Carlos Rome said Garcia is one of the sport's leading golf fashion names and added that he is also a "hunk".
