The Glenmuir Classic

Glenmuir were delighted to be involved with the PGA Europro Tour event at Whitekirk and started it off with a pro-am tournament on the Tuesday where Glenmuir Staff and guests had a very enjoyable day in the sun. We would like to thank all the professionals and celebrities with a big thank you to the "serious" Steve Davis for joining us along with the Matchroom Sport team and also Dougie Donnelly for taking time out of a hectic schedule to join in the fun. The day was a great success and it really paved the way for the more serious golfers to follow on the rest of the week.
Glenmuir Gears Up For Another Ryder Cup Success

The Lanark based company is providing shirts and sweaters for the European Team, caddies, and officials at the world’s most prestigious golf event.
Sick Kids Golf Challenge

Glenmuir were delighted to be involved with the Open Golf Challenge in aid of the Sick Kids Friends Foundation by supplying clothing for all those involved. The Challenge was for four golfers to play six different Open Championship courses in one day. The team comprised four members of staff from the Edinburgh hospital, Mike Balfour, Chris Cowan, Mark Little and Alan Williams.
Tour Boost for Glenmuir

The company has been represented for many years on the European Tour by European Ryder Cup Captain Sam Torrance and former Captain Mark James, and both players have recently extended their relationship with Glenmuir.
Weir Joins Glenmuir Ambassadors

Glenmuir, the leading Scottish golf and leisurewear brand, has added Russell Weir to its list of PGA European Tour ambassadors. Weir, who is the Golf Professional at Cowal Golf Club in the West of Scotland, will wear Glenmuir's 2002 collections on the PGA European Seniors Tour this season. Weir will be attempting to build upon his first Seniors Tour victory at last year's Temes Seniors Open in Greece.

Glenmuir staff and customers enjoyed a fun packed day of adventure, courtesy of our friends at HRC Events, with sports including Clay Pigeon Shooting, Archery, Quad Bike Riding and also the exciting 'Argo Cat'. The Aim of the Game - 4 teams competing against one another at 4 different challenges to see who's the best and come out on top.
It's Cameron's Title Again

Bob Cameron (Sundridge Park) duly won the Glenmuir Club Professional Championship on Friday 14th June at Saunton, but not before his four-stroke overnight lead all but disappeared. After taking bogeys at the first three holes, he was at one stage tied with his eventual runner-up, John Dwyer (Ashbourne, Co., Meath) and with playing partner Graeme Bell (Eaglescliffe, Co. Durham). Cameron eventually carded a four-over 75 for a 280 aggregate, one ahead of Dwyer.
New Partnership with Matchroom Sport

Glenmuir is delighted to announce a new partnership with Matchroom Sport which will see Glenmuir become the Official Clothing Partner of the PGA Europro Tour for the next two years. Glenmuir will supply clothing to all PGA Europro Tour officials and staff and will be a visible presence at the remaining fifteen events on this year's Tour. In addition, Glenmuir will be assuming the role of title sponsor at the Tour's thirteenth event, which takes place at Whitekirk Golf Club, North Berwick, from 14th 16th August. The tournament will henceforth be known as the Glenmuir Classic.
Glenmuir Backs Another Diamond Champion

Malcolm Mackenzie's stunning victory at the French Open last weekend comes on the back of Diego Borrego's European Tour win earlier in the season.
End of an era for Glenmuir "Molly the monogrammer"

One of the golf & leisurewear industries longest serving employees said her farewells at a happy and emotional presentation at Glenmuir in Lanark. Flowers, cards and gifts including a set of emerald earrings from the Directors of Glenmuir were the order of the day for Susan "Molly" Fullarton who recently retired from the company at the age of sixty. Molly as she was affectionately known, started her employment with the company 42 years ago. Commencing on the frames on the factory floor she progressed to the monogram machine where she was the first to learn the skills of embroidery.
