New Glenmuir Autumn/Winter '08 Catalogue Showcases The Best In Golf Apparel
The new Autumn/Winter ’08 catalogue from Glenmuir, one of Europe’s leading golf apparel brands, is packed with stylish, high-quality clothing perfect for fair weather or foul.
The collection builds on the success of the Lanark, Scotland-based company’s hugely popular Spring/Summer '08 collection, which achieved Glenmuir's best-ever sell-in.
Fashion, styling, colour and performance are at the heart of the Autumn/Winter ‘08 product range development, with three brand new contemporary colour palettes – ‘Elements’, ‘Fairway’ and ‘Caffe Latte’ – setting the mood for the exciting collections.
Elements features deep reds, black, greys and ochre; Fairway uses vibrant kiwi and citrus green combined with sand, linen, black and greys; while Caffe Latte co-ordinates creams and coffee with navy and pale pinks.
The carefully-selected colour schemes appear throughout the collection of more than 140 different products for men, lady and junior golfers – with almost a quarter of the designs being brand new for the Autumn/Winter ’08 season.
Glenmuir is bringing its distinctive 1891 logo to the fore across its entire Men’s and Ladies’ ranges, with the logo appearing prominently on products and on new swing labels and packaging.
The Autumn/Winter ‘08 flagship ‘1891 by Glenmuir’ collection features co-ordinating luxury mercerised cotton shirts, Merino, Pima, Supima, Lamora and cashmere knitwear to create a collection that epitomises style and quality.
Brand new products this season include the short sleeved Augusta and long sleeved Portmarnock shirts, both in soft and luxurious Supima cotton - less prone to piling than other cottons - the short sleeved Kingsbarns and Merion and long sleeved Robert shirts, all in high-quality mercerised cotton, and the heavyweight knit Merino super-soft, wonderfully warm and long-lasting Pinehurst zip-neck sweater.
The Men’s Performance Collection focuses on technical fabric innovation, continuing Glenmuir’s commitment to playing a key role in the growth of the golf performance wear market and offering customers the very latest in sports fabric technology.
Exciting new products include the Rain Bloc ® Stretch and Rain Bloc ® Light breathable and waterproof jackets, Teflon-coated long sleeved Storm Bloc ® Windstretch Pro and short sleeved Storm Bloc ® Windstretch Club windshirts.
New lined Birkdale and Carnbee sweaters feature a breathable water, oil and soil repellent Bionic Finish ® while the first long sleeved shirt in the Hi-Cool ® range makes an appearance - the Hi-Cool ® Base - where the renowned Hi-Cool ® Moisture Management System quickly draws moisture away from the body and into the fabric but boasts phenomenal quick-dry wicking properties.
The hugely-popular Men’s Classic Collection co-ordinates best-selling styles with new seasonal designs and colours across shirts, knitwear and trousers.
Highlights include the stylish new zip-neck Ballybunion, v-neck Woodhall, v-neck ribbed Sunningdale sweaters and Lahinch zip-neck ribbed slipover - all in 100 per cent machine washable lambswool – the eye-catching Doonbeg v-neck sweater in lightweight and super-soft cotton, and the Braid and Fidra stretch performance trousers.
Glenmuir continues to build on its feminine and stylish Ladies’ Collection, the company’s fastest growing category, which co-ordinates luxury cotton polo shirts and knitwear with performance shirts, fleeces, luxury lambswool, merino and cashmere knitwear, wind shirts, waterproofs, trousers, shorts, headwear and socks.
Highlights this Autumn/Winter include the addition of two new performance shirts, the long sleeve thermal zip neck Moira and the long sleeve jetted zip mock neck Linn, which features the Hi-Cool ® Moisture Management System.
The new stretch jersey long sleeve Abby shaped fit shirt, and the Paula zip neck sweater with ribbed detail in lightweight super-soft cotton also appear for the first time.
There is a whole new fashion lambswool knitwear range featuring five elegant sweater styles – Shannon, Gail, Bella, Faith and Caitlyn – in a choice of colours and designs. The ladies’ performance wear includes new stretch trousers Grace and Simone alongside innovative Rain Bloc ® Flex and Rain Bloc ® Shell breathable and waterproof jackets, Teflon-coated Storm Bloc ® Windflex Light and the lined zip-neck Alice sweater featuring a breathable water, oil and soil repellent Bionic Finish ®.
Glenmuir’s Golfing Kids collection – launched earlier this year – features the GK Pro and GK Club shirts, the GK Team long-sleeved wind shirt and the GK Cap which have all been designed specifically to introduce youngsters to the Glenmuir brand.
Andy Bough, Glenmuir Marketing Director, says of the new catalogue: “Our new collections continue to build on our ongoing commitment to offering the very best product range backed by outstanding customer service.
“This season we have created a fresh, new look by placing even more emphasis on fashion, style and colour - with luxury and performance products taking greater prominence.
