Glenmuir Coolmax Performance Elite and Performance Team
Glenmuir has responded to the growing trend for ‘sport-technical’ golf clothing by expanding its popular Coolmax range of performance shirts – further underlining its status as one of Europe’s leading golf apparel brands.
The Scottish based company’s new short sleeved Performance Elite and Performance Team feature the superior Coolmax ® Active Performance system - as seen in this year’s European Ryder Cup Team shirts - which cleverly moves perspiration away from the body to the fabric's outer surface, where it can evaporate quickly.
This garment technology not only keeps the golfer dry and cool, it means the shirts dry faster than other fabrics and also deliver an outstanding UPF15+ ultraviolet protection factor from the sun’s harmful rays.
Both shirts - which form part of Glenmuir’s Spring/Summer 2009 updated Men’s Performance collection - are manufactured from 100% polyester and are designed in a neat athletic fit, cut closer to the body to enhance the performance of the technical shirt fabric.
The Performance Elite polo shirt with stripe body panels, plain raglan sleeves and a self fabric anti-curl collar comes in white/apricot/peach, white/ink/azure and ice blue/latte/white colourways.
The Performance Team – is based on the 2008 European Ryder Cup Team shirt, and boasts panel detail on the body and sleeves, a self fabric anti-curl collar and contrast jetted zip neck - is available in white with apricot contrast colour inserts and cuffs, white with azure contrast colour and white with ice blue contrast colour.
Both shirts feature the renowned Glenmuir 1891 logo embroidered on the right sleeve, come in sizes S-XXL and are available for a suggested retail price of £37.50.
The new garments join the hugely-popular self colour textured stripe Performance Club polo which has been colour updated for Spring/Summer ’09 and now comes in five exciting new shades - apricot, lemon sorbet, ink, azure and ice blue.
Andy Bough, Glenmuir Marketing Director, said: “We understand that golfers at all levels - from Ryder Cup stars to club players - are now much more aware of the positive effect sports fabrics can have on their performance.
“The Performance Club was a very popular shirt in 2008 and adding two new shirts to the collection, featuring our Coolmax Active Performance technology, was an easy decision to make when developing our 2009 product range.”
