New Kids’ Performance Polo From Glenmuir

Glenmuir Golfing Kids GK Elite

Junior golfers can now benefit from the very latest in sports fabric technology with the launch of the new GK Elite polo shirt from Glenmuir.

The Scottish based company, one of Europe’s leading golf apparel brands, has introduced the new shirt to its Spring/Summer ’09 Golfing Kids range.

Manufactured from soft, stylish and lightweight 70% cotton 30% polyester jersey, the GK Elite offers the soft-handle feel not found with all-synthetic fabrics such as polyester or nylon.

It features the renowned Hi-Cool ® Moisture Management System, which delivers extra stretch performance while drawing moisture away from the body to provide exceptional quick-drying wicking properties.

The same system is used in hugely popular shirts from Glenmuir’s Men’s Performance Series and Ladies’ Collection.

The GK Elite, which is based on the design for the 2008 European team shirt, has a self fabric anti-curl collar, contrast jetted zip, panelling detail on the body and sleeves, contrast colour inserts and cuffs and features the prestigious Glenmuir 1891 logo embroidered on the right sleeve.

The shirt comes in four colour options – navy/white, white/light blue, white/garnet and white/black - for a suggested retail price of £27.20 and three age sizes 8/10, 10/12 and 12/13.

Glenmuir launched its first-ever bespoke Golfing Kids range last year and fashion-conscious junior golfers are clamouring to get their hands on the company’s sport practical and stylish clothing – which was showcased by this year’s European Ryder Cup Team.

The GK Elite shirt is complemented by the feature-packed half-zip GK Team wind shirt, heavily influenced by the athletic design of the company’s Men’s Performance Shirts.

The wind shirt, available for a suggested retail price of £33.50, has a Teflon-coated 100% polyester microfibre shell and 100% polyester coated lining to ensure great weather-beating properties to keep kids warm and dry.

This season a new colour option – garnet/white – has been added to the two original colourways of navy/light blue and black/sand.

Andy Bough, Glenmuir Marketing Director, said: “There has been a superb response to our first GK Kids collection and the message from young golfers was clear – ‘We want more!’

“Our role as preferred supplier to the European Ryder Cup Team gave Glenmuir’s performance shirts great brand exposure this year, so we wanted to give junior golfers a chance to experience the same levels of clothing performance as their idols.”
