Glenmuir staged a corporate golf day for our staff, key partners and customers as a prelude to the hugely-successful Glenmuir PGA Professional Championship at Dundonald Links earlier this month.

Gales and downpours cleared just in time for six teams of four to take on the challenging course in Ayrshire, with David Lewis from Lewis Design running out eventual individual winner with 34 points.

The longest drive holes were the 13th and the 18th and were won by Mark Pomphrey and Matthew Eagle respectively.

Glenmuir Managing Director Colin Mee said: "We had a really enjoyable day but, of course, the real action took place the next day in the PGA Professional Championship which was as usual a fantastically-organised event."

James Lee, despite carding a closing 79, came off a gale-swept Dundonald Links as the new Glenmuir PGA Professional champion.

James will also lead the 10-man Britain and Ireland PGA Cup team to play the United States in September at Carrick on Loch Lomond.
