At the final stage of qualifying school at PGA Catalunya in Spain, Tom showed both quality and character to bounce back from an opening round of 76 with rounds of 64 and 63 on the way to earning his card by three shots.

Tom, who turned professional in 2009 and hails from Manchester, is the son of former European Open champion and current Senior Tour player Andrew Murray.

As well as his father, Tom has been strongly influenced by former Ryder Cup captain and legendary coach John Jacobs throughout his fledgling career.

His journey so far has seen him play a full season on the European Challenge Tour in 2013 and just 10 events this year.

Like his father a Glenmuir brand ambassador, Tom has been supported by the brand and hopefully this will continue for his first season on the European Tour. Srixon are Tom's equipment supplier for his exciting adventure and he has recently signed with sports management company ISM.

Tom says " I'm so thrilled to have played some of my best golf ever at Q School when I really needed to. The pressure will certainly be no more in any event I ever play, so I hope the experience will stand me in good stead"

The Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland Team wish Tom the very best of luck for the 2015 year.
