Helen Lamberton, who works in the warehouse department as a Garment Trimmer; Sheila Dykes, cleaner; and  Kevin Muir, an Embroidery Machinist; all celebrated 15 years' employment with Glenmuir, which employs more than 80 people at its Lanark headquarters.

The company is internationally-recognised as one of the world's leading golf clothing brands and is the preferred supplier to the European Ryder Cup Team, a position it has held proudly for 25 years.

Helen, Sheila and Kevin were all presented with their Long Service Awards by Glenmuir managing director, Colin Mee.

Mr Mee said: "Every single member of staff contributes to the ongoing success of Glenmuir, whether that's keeping the offices ship-shape or embroidering the golf shirts and knitwear that have been worn by some of the biggest names in golf.

"I was delighted to honour the combined 45 years' service that Helen, Sheila and Kevin have given us. They all started with the company in 1997 and it is a considerable achievement for each of them and one which we are very pleased to celebrate."

Glenmuir has been the preferred supplier of shirts and knitwear to The European Ryder Cup Team since 1987, in one of the longest-running partnerships in professional sport.

Players such as Aberdonian, Paul Lawrie, and world number one, Rory McIlroy, wore the company's specially-designed clothing this year in a sensational Ryder Cup victory in Chicago.
