2007 will be a busy year for the school's golf club with weekly sessions in Armagh Golf Club under the tutelage of Connor McKenna and the development of new golf facilities at the school. The school plans to install a 4-boy practice facility and putting green in the hope of further development of golf within the school and community environ.
Later in the year the school will be participating in the Darren Clarke Schools' Golf League and will be involved with the Junior Golf Ireland Secondary School Coaching Initiative, which is starting in April 2007. In May, most of the group will be off to Spain for a week of golf in Barcelona. So next week the boys will be cheering on Clarke, Harrington, McGinley and Co and might get a photograph or two with their sporting heroes.
The boys' T-shirts and caps were kindly sponsored by two of the tournament's main sponsors Glenmuir Ltd and O2. The pupils are greatly indebted to Andy Bough and his marketing team for their kindness.
