Sam will wear Glenmuir clothing on the European Tour, and at all golf related appearances. He has already selected Glenmuir to design the shirts and knitwear for his European Team, and will help the Scottish Golf and Leisurewear company promote the wardrobe to golfers all over Europe.

After signing the agreement, Sam said:

"I have worn Glenmuir clothing for many years and the company was a natural choice for my European Team. Together we have designed a great wardrobe for the team, and I invite all golfers to support the team and wear the clothing."

Glenmuir Sales and Marketing Director, Andy Bough, is delighted by the agreement.

"Glenmuir has been designing shirts and knitwear for the European Team since 1987, and we are very proud that Sam has chosen us again for the Ryder Cup Matches at The Belfry. Sam is a great ambassador for the brand, and we are very excited to be supporting his European Team."

Glenmuir's exclusive Ryder Cup European Team Collection will be launched to the Golf Trade next month, and will be showcased to the public at Novembers Golfexpo show at the N.E.C.

Sam joins a growing line of Glenmuir ambassadors who enhance the company's position at the heart of the game of golf. Ryder Cup European Team Vice-Captain, Mark James, also wears Glenmuir, along with Tommy Horton and David Huish on the Seniors Tour. Lora Fairclough and Mickey Walker represent Glenmuir in the ladies game.
