Sick Kids Golf Challenge

Glenmuir were delighted to be involved with the Open Golf Challenge in aid of the Sick Kids Friends Foundation by supplying clothing for all those involved. The Challenge was for four golfers to play six different Open Championship courses in one day. The team comprised four members of staff from the Edinburgh hospital, Mike Balfour, Chris Cowan, Mark Little and Alan Williams.

The challenge started at Carnoustie at 3.45am in glorious weather which kept up till the day ended at Muirfield. In between the team visited St Andrews, Royal Troon, Turnberry, and Prestwick. The Friends Foundation hoped to raise over £20,000 from this challenge, which has proved to be a great success. The total raised so far has exceeded all expectations, standing at £66,377. Glenmuir is delighted to have been able to play a small part in helping the team meet their unique challenge.
