PGA Europro Tour, Event 13 of the tour, the Glenmuir Classic. This was the Scottish event of the tour held at Whitekirk Golf and Country Club in North Berwick. Glenmuir were proud sponsors and delighted to be involved with this event. Ireland's Eamon Brady (Louis Copeland) won the Glenmuir Classic at Whitekirk with a sensational final round score of 66 to bring him four under for the tournament. He said "It's absolutely brilliant! At the start of the day I didn't think I had a chance on plus two, but then I eagled the thirteenth and thought I could be in with a shout, and then things just got better!"
Brady had started the day seven shots off the lead, and faced a long wait to see how the overnight leaders would finish, "I waited in the clubhouse for an hour and a half and it was absolute torture! I thought it would go to a play-off and I really didn't fancy going back out there after such a long wait, so I'm delighted to win it outright".
The tournament came down to the very last shot, as Martin Le Mesurier, in the final group, needed to par the eighteenth to stay four under and go to a play-off. But he could only bogey the hole as his par putt lipped out, handing the title to Brady.
The overnight leader, Craig Goodfellow, could only manage 78 to finish in joint thirteenth place on one over.
This is Brady's second PGA Europro Tour win this season, having also won the ISM International at Castletown Golf Links in the Isle of Man in June.
