Clubs
There are many excellent golf club sets around for children, designed to help them shoot their best scores once they graduate from toy sets. Lightweight clubs naturally make playing easier, more comfortable and enjoyable. If you’re unsure about their correct club size, sizing charts can help you find out. And there’s no need to go overboard and overwhelm them – it’s best to only choose as many clubs in a set as your child’s level demands.

Bags
There are a range of stylist golf bags out there to make your child feel like a pro. It’s worth investing in a bag that includes a rain hood cover to protect their clubs, while a stand bag will help them with easy access. Playing golf can be thirsty work, so a bag with a drinks holder is also well worth it for younger ones.

Balls
Coloured balls have been all the rage on the pro scene in recent tournaments. They’re a great choice for children as, not only do they look cool, but they make the ball more visible and add an extra layer of excitement to your child’s game. It may also be worth opting for a set of softer balls, which should help with their swing in these early days.

Tees
Now you’ve decided on your child’s golf ball, it’s time to choose some tees. Plastic ones tend to be more durable than wood, so are usually a better fit for inexperienced players. A golf tee dispenser will come in handy, so they don’t have to rummage around in their bag looking for them.

Gloves
Finding golf gloves with an excellent fit and feel, improves your child’s grip on their clubs and helps them to unlock their best swings and strokes. Look out for Velcro, which can be easily altered to give your child the perfect, adaptable fit.  Perforations on the fingers and thumb will help keep their hand cool under pressure.
