The US Open winner claimed victory despite Justin Rose holding a two-shot lead after the first round, a lead he held on to until there were just three holes left.

However, Scott eagled the par-five 17th to forge two ahead and then parred the last for a course record seven-under-par 64.

Speaking to reporters after his win, Scott said: "Obviously I'm thrilled to come out on top."

He added that it had been a "fun" but "trying" couple of days, saying: "It felt like a long round out there but I was happy with the score. Standing on the 11th tee, it didn't look like a score like that was going to be possible."

Other players taking part in the tournament included PGA Championship winner Jason Dufner and Ireland's Padraig Harrington.
