Steve Williams, who was with Scott when he won the Masters at Augusta in 2013, is also set to carry the 34-year-old's clubs and golf weatherwear during the Open Championship at St Andrews in July and the US PGA Championship in August.

New Zealander Williams, 51, last worked with Scott nine months ago at the Fed-Ex Cup play-offs. He is best known for having been Tiger Woods' caddie between 1999 and 2011.

Scott recently split with caddie Mike Kerr and says it took some convincing to persuade Williams to come out of retirement.

The pair will also work together at the Bridgestone Invitational event, which is scheduled to be played in August, just before the US PGA Championship in Wisconsin.

The US Open is due to get underway at Chambers Bay in Washington state on June 18.
