But if your local club can’t provide you with the conditions you need this winter, there’s plenty of popular spots around the world perfect for an autumn or winter golf break.

Marrakech, Morocco
Pair a sunny golf break with visits to vibrant souks and grand mosques, and you’ve got a trip to Marrakech, Morocco. With so many first-class courses on offer, you can choose to stay in the medina, surrounded by ancient Moroccan architecture, or out of town in a golf resort.

South of the city, you’ll find plenty of golf courses surrounded by lush greenery, while courses in the nearby desert of Amelkis boast the Atlas Mountains as a stunning backdrop.

The Algarve, Portugal
