Bold golf trousers for John Daly

John Daly showed off his bold golf trousers during a press conference in Singapore this week.

Bold bright trousers may often be associated with golf, however, looking at courses today you are more likely to see the likes of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy in plain navy, grey or beige golf trousers.

But US golfer John Daly, or Long John as he is sometimes known, recently showed it is still possible to have fun with golf clothing, standing out in some bold red and black checked trousers during a press conference in Singapore.

Daly teamed his colourful legwear with a simple black t-shirt and white shoes for the interview, which took place ahead of the Barclays Singapore Open golf tournament which starts on Thursday.

Other golfers taking part in the event include Korea's Y.E Yang, Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy and Darren Clarke and Australia's Adam Scott.

"It's fantastic that three true characters of the game - John Daly, Y. E. Yang and Darren Clarke - will play the Barclays Singapore Open this year," commented Chris Jordan, Senior Vice-President, Golf, of tournament promoters World Sport Group.

Hopefully we'll see some more bright and bold golf apparel from Daly when the Singapore Open tees off.
