Butch helps Brandt refind his form

Snedeker will begin his defence at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Quebec in warm, sunny conditions on Thursday - but he may need his waterproof golf clothing later on in the week when thunderstorms are forecast.

Last year's win preceded something of a slump in form for the 33-year-old, as he has since only finished in the top 10 on just three occasions.

However, world number 35 Snedeker has teamed up with legendary coach Butch Harmon to tune up his game and says he's quickly getting his confidence back.

He describes the switch to Harmon, who has worked with Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler in recent years, as a hugely positive one.

Last year he won the Canadian Open at the Glen Abbey Golf Course in Oakville, Ontario. He doesn't think the fact it is in Montreal this year will cause too much of a problem for him, as he has successfully defended a tournament at a different course before at the Wyndham Championship.
