The Ulsterman, famed for his eccentric collection of golf clothing, will join fellow major winners Angel Cabrera, Rich Beem and Michael Campbell in the event that has been created by European Tour pro Shiv Kapur.
"When I saw the Indian Premier League, I thought it made cricket look cool. I wanted to do the same in golf, without taking away the seriousness of course," Kapur said.
"It would be a great opportunity for the local players to team up with some of the big names. It would be an experience they would cherish for the rest of their life."
The international stars will be sold off in an IPL-style auction to partner local Indian professionals.
Rounds will be shorted to 14 holes, with two night rounds of strokeplay followed by a final round of better ball.
