Pro Ernie Els has told the Telegraph about some of his favourite golf courses in South Africa, many of which should be on golf fans' playing wish lists.

Featuring on the list is Gold's Field West which Ernie says he played at a lot as a youngster. However, you do have to beware of any deer and monkeys who may find themselves on the green.

Another popular course is Oubaai, which was Els' first design project in SA. Describing it as one of his "favourite spots in the world", Els advises making full use of the club house and on-site facilities.

Also making the list is Els Club Copperleaf, which, as the name suggests, is another of Els' designs. The star says that the course offers a great game for players of all standards and offers magnificent views of the Magaliesberg mountain range.
