The Scottish based golf company, which has built up a position as one of Europe’s leading golf clothing brands, signed an agreement in 2005 with European Ryder Cup Team Captain Ian Woosnam to be its golf ambassador until 2008. At the same time Glenmuir also announced that it was appointed Preferred Supplier to the 2006 European Ryder Cup Team, and designed shirts and knitwear for Woosie’s victorious team.

Ian Woosnam was the latest European Team Captain to sport Glenmuir’s distinctive diamond logo; both Mark James and Sam Torrance were Glenmuir ambassadors whilst performing the role in 1999 and 2002 respectively. The former Masters Champion has been wearing Glenmuir clothing on the European Tour and at all golf related appearances, and helps the company promote its Glenmuir and Official Ryder Cup Merchandise programmes around the world.

The company has been the Team’s preferred supplier of shirts and knitwear since 1987, and is proud to have once again been appointed Preferred Supplier and Official Licensee to the 2008 European Ryder Cup Team at Valhalla Golf Club
