A Grand Final will then take place at Royal Lytham St Anne’s in October, with Glenmuir providing a free shirt to all the finalists, who are competing for the overall main prize of a 5* golf holiday at La Manga.
Announcing Glenmuir’s affiliation, marketing director Brian Mair said: "The 4-ball better ball Stableford format is hugely popular among amateur golfers and this is a fantastic new competition with some superb prizes.
“The 4bbb.co.uk Challenge gives golfers with official handicaps the opportunity to play at some of the UK’s most prestigious courses and we’re delighted to be associated with the event.”
In the competition, the top four teams from each local open event will progress to the regional finals, with the top four pairs again making it through to the final which will be played on the 2012 Open Championship layout at Royal Lytham.
