Luiten pulled on his golf clothing on Sunday morning, one shot ahead the Spaniard, but Jimenez showed why he is a 19-time winner on the European Tour, shooting a four-under-par round of 67 to match Luiten, who shot 68, in the clubhouse at 12-under-par.
Both players returned to the 18th for a sudden death play-off where Luiten split the fairway with his tee-shot while Jimenez pushed his down the right.
Hitting into a strong wind, Jimenez just reached the front of the green with his second shot but finished up short and right of the flagstick. The 49-year-old then charged his birdie attempt six feet past the hole.
Luiten, who found the middle of the green with his second shot, came up three feet short with his birdie effort, but holed out for victory after Jimenez missed his par putt.
It marked a double celebration for Dutch golf after Daan Huizing claimed his second win on the Challenge Tour in as many starts at the Kharkov Superior Cup in Ukraine.
