The new programme, A Question of Sport: Super Saturday, will involve physical activities and challenges, as opposed to the question and answer format of the original show.

Viewers will see familiar faces as team captains Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell will be joined each week by three celebrity guests to take part in sporting challenges.

It's expected to have a 'Kids versus Captains' challenge which will see Dawson and Tufnell go head to head with school children. For one challenge, they'll be pulling on their golf clothing for a golf chipping and putting contest.

The spin-off show will give the original programme, which has been running since 1968, a new lease of life as it will move towards a more similar style to A League of Their Own presented by James Corden.

It has not been announced when the series will be broadcast, however filming has already begun.
