Sunderland of Scotland is extending its unparalleled expertise in the manufacture of award-winning golf waterproofs into knitwear - with two new water repellent lambswool sweaters for 2013.
With over 80 years of golfwear pedigree, Sunderland unveils the Pampero lined sweater and Auckland v-neck sweater, both featuring the outstanding BionicFinish ® nanotechnology which delivers added water resistance to the natural wool fibres.
The showerproof Auckland is a machine washable 80% lambswool jumper from Sunderland's All-Season collection, in five colours and boasting incredible breathability and durability. Not only warm, it provides superb cover for the golfer caught in a shower, with water beading on the surface.
Part of Sunderland's Windwear collection, Pampero is made with 50% supersoft merino wool and incorporates a lightweight and breathable lining for additional wind protection, while the BionicFinish® makes it shower resistant.
Available in Black/Royal and Charcoal/Red, Pampero is the ultimate in performance knitwear with a high-quality wool yarn and truly outstanding weatherbeating properties for a knitted sweater.
Brian Mair, Sunderland marketing director, said: “Over the years Sunderland of Scotland has maintained its reputation for manufacturing high quality waterproofs and we have taken that expertise and applied it to knitwear by using the very latest in fabric technology.
"Lots of golfers hate putting waterproofs on and off when weather is changeable during a round, and our water-resistant sweaters are perfect when golfers find themselves playing in bursts of wet weather."
Sunderland's 2013 Collection incorporates over 50 products designed specifically to offer weather protection for men, lady and junior golfers, with 18 new garments including jackets, trousers, wind shirts, UV shirts, bonded fleeces and gilets.
