Glenmuir has launched an exciting and fashionable new flagship Men’s 1891 Collection for Spring/Summer 2008.

The Men's 1891 Collection co-ordinates luxury mercerised cotton polo shirts, Pima and Supima cotton knitwear and Lamora and Scottish Cashmere knitwear in a range of colours, including three brand new stylish and modern colour palettes - Freshwater (cool blues, white & khaki); Tropical (vibrant greens, fuschia & black); Sunset Beach (cool yellow, deeper blues and white).

At the forefront of the collection are six new luxury polo shirts - Prestwick, Muirfield, Musselburgh, Turnberry, Carnoustie and Troon.

Golfers benefit from fine cotton yarns with a soft, luxurious feel and all the shirts boast an anti-curl collar and feature the prestigious 1891 woven label on the right sleeve. In sizes S-XXL, the six new shirts are available in a range of patterns, including solid colours, tonal and textured stripes and a wrap check.

Glenmuir has also introduced three new cotton knitwear sweaters and tops - Jubilee, Eden and Machrie.

The Jubilee slipover and Eden v-neck sweater feature Pima cotton, a soft yarn with a smooth, clean finish that creates luxurious and lightweight knitwear which provide warmth while allowing for ease of movement.

The Machrie zip-neck top in Supima cotton (a superior cotton yarn) has a soft, luxurious feel and less prone to pilling than other cottons. All new Pima and Supima products are available is sizes S-XXL from the new colour palettes.

Launching the new Men's 1891 Collection, Glenmuir Marketing Director, Andy Bough, said: "We are very excited by the collection. The new products give golfers the highest quality clothing in contemporary colours and designs, so they can look good and feel good on the course and in the clubhouse."

Glenmuir Men's 1891 Collection range updates The existing Men's 1891 Collection has also been comprehensively updated by Glenmuir to incorporate the Freshwater, Tropical and Sunset Beach colour palettes.

In the luxury polo shirts range the striped Dublin design is now available in khaki/white, citrus/black, navy/light yellow, black/sand, and light blue/white; the single colour Howth in light blue, navy and light yellow; and the Mark in black with citrus pencil stripe and light yellow with navy pencil stripe.

The Scottish Cashmere range - knitted in Scotland from the finest cashmere fibres commercially available and to the highest standards set by the Scottish Cashmere Club - now features the Hampton zip-neck sweater in olympus blue with black inside collar, apple with black inside collar and nero navy with Lolita pink inside collar, while the Hailes crew neck, Culzean v-neck and Brodick crew neck now come in claret, flannel grey, tartan green, nero navy and soft blue.

The Lamora knitwear range - soft and luxurious Italian spun Lamora yarn combining extra fine merino and rare angora - has seen flannel grey, kiwi, light blue and Hawaii blue added to the crew neck Buckingham and v-neck Kinsale sweaters.
