Ian Poulter is looking forward to resting his golf clothing for a few weeks.
Ian Poulter is probably looking forward to resting his golf clothes, after admitting that he scheduled in too many tournaments in 2012.
The sportsman had a spectacular second half to the season after a slow start, but has said he may have overdone it, adding that his tiredness showed at the World Challenge hosted by Tiger Woods in Thousand Oaks over the weekend.
"My body was just telling me, and I was making stupid mistakes. The first two days I was tired on the golf course and obviously it (jet-lag) takes its toll out of you. It's hard to get it exactly right," he told Euro Sport.
"There are so many good tournaments around the world and I would love to play all of them but unfortunately we can't. You have to look at it, plan it and try and play where you know you can perform."
He added that he is planning to cutback on tournaments next year, although he hasn't yet decided which ones to go for.
However, his rest won't be a long one as he is planning on starting the season in Hawaii in January.
