Here are the five top performing players to pull on their golf clothing in 2013: Henrik Stenson

Here are the five top performing players to pull on their golf clothing in 2013:

Henrik Stenson

There was no doubt to the golfer that was set to top this list in 2013. Stenson has certainly been the stand-out name this year. Scooping the FedEx Cup and the Race to Dubai in the same season is a phenomenal achievement, to do it by claiming the Tour Championships on the European Tour and the PGA Tour was exceptional.

Justin Rose

The first Englishman to win the US Open in over 40 years, Justin Rose deserves full credit for a stunning final round on a gruelling Merion course. His approach to the 18th, when the heat was truly on, has been compared to the same legendary approach that Ben Hogan played to the same green in the final round of the US Open, 63 years previously.

Adam Scott

After the disappointment of blowing a final round lead in the 2012 Open, you might be forgiven for thinking that Adam Scott was destined not to win a major title. However the plucky Australian bounced back at the first major of the year in true style. Rolling in a 25-foot birdie putt on the last that would ultimately tie Argentine Angel Cabrera, the 33-year-old showed unrivalled composure in the sudden death play-off to edge out the two-time major champion.

Charley Hull

Before the Solheim Cup this year there were many comparisons that could be drawn with Sergio Garcia when he played as a 19-year-old at the 1999 Ryder Cup at Brooklyn and the young English golfer. However, Hull proved that she has the ability to go further than the precocious Spaniard, dismantling Paula Creamer with a stunning 5&4 victory in Sunday's singles to set the European team on their way to their first win in the US, and at a record-breaking margin of victory to boot.

Inbee Park

While Inbee Park may have narrowly missed out on a Grand Slam, the Korean is perhaps the unsung hero of the 2013, capturing the first three ladies majors of the year, before coming up short in the final two majors of the season. To highlight the extent of her achievement, the last man or woman to win three majors in a calendar year was a certain Tiger Woods.
