Glenmuir Signs PGA Polska Sponsorship

Glenmuir, the leading Scottish golf and leisurewear brand, is extending its links with golf professionals into Eastern Europe, signing an agreement to become Official Clothing Sponsor of PGA Polska, the Professional Golfers Association in Poland.

Glenmuir has enjoyed a long standing relationship with the PGA in Great Britain and Ireland, and has over recent years established similar partnerships with a number of international PGAs, including those in Spain and Germany. The company's commitment to Professionals across the continent is also reinforced by its sponsorship of the PGAs of Europe.

The company's successful European business has steadily been expanding eastwards over recent years, and the famous Glenmuir diamond is now available to golfers in a number of Eastern European markets, including Russia, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.

Glenmuir's Sales and Marketing Director Andy Bough commented: "The golf business is on the move across these emerging markets, and this agreement with PGA Polska enables us to work even closer with our customers in Poland as the market develops over the next few years."

President PGA of Poland, Marek W. Podstolski said: "I am very proud and happy that our organisation is sponsored by such a famous company. Golf in Poland is nearly 100 years old, but the sport was forbidden for fifty years during World War II and the communist regime. Now the game is growing rapidly and I hope that one day the professional golf from Poland will be recognized amongst the best."
