Glenmuir & Sunderland Back £1M Team Scottish Hydro Golf Project

Glenmuir , one of Europe’s leading golf apparel companies, has been appointed Official Clothing Partner to the £1m Team Scottish Hydro professional golf development initiative.

The Lanark-based company will supply shirts, trousers, sweaters and Sunderland waterproofs to the groundbreaking project’s five sponsored golfers – Gavin Dear, Chris Doak, Craig Lee, Callum MacAulay and Jamie McLeary.

Scottish Hydro, the energy company, will meet the players’ golf-related expenses in a bid to make their progression to European Tour status as smooth as possible.

Glenmuir also supplied hundreds of shirts for the Team Scottish Hydro National Golf Competition. Every club in Scotland was asked to nominate a medal in April as a qualifier, with the winners of every medal progressing to regional finals in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and Aberdeen. All the Regional Final winners will partner a Team Scottish Hydro member at The Scottish Hydro Challenge Pro-Am on the eve of the tournament which, again this year, is held at the magnificent Macdonald Spey Valley golf Course from 23rd – 26th June in Aviemore.
