No company understands the performance demands placed on woollen golf clothing better than Glenmuir and this season five lambswool sweaters from the Scotland-based experts have been designed to be water, soil and oil repellent, breathable, weatherproof and quick-drying.
All the garments make up Glenmuir's Men's Performance Sweaters collection and feature Bionic Finish® - an optimised finish for wool clothing that uses advanced and enhanced nano-technology to deliver incredible durability while retaining softness.
There are three brand new designs for Autumn 2012:
Connery - a button neck 80% lambswool, 20% polyamide sweater with a smart rib detail on the sleeves and shoulders. Available in S-XXL sizes and four colours (grey mix, black, dark rouge, navy). RRP £73
Ramsay - a zip neck 80% lambswool, 20% polyamide sweater with a contemporary diamond intarsia pattern on the front. Available in sizes S-XXL and two colour options (grey mix/charcoal/storm/pearl grey and moss/black/winter white/rouge). RRP £73
Byron - a zip neck 80% lambswool, 20% polyamide sweater with a subtle but distinctive split diamond intarsia pattern which features only on the right shoulder and left sleeve. Available in sizes S-XXL and two colour choices (moss/black/linen/rouge and charcoal/light grey/lead). RRP £73
Bionic Finish® also features in the Jupiter and Kielder lined performance sweaters - where a lightweight StormBloc® windproof lining is added to provide additional warmth and protection.
Applied directly to the base textiles Bionic Finish® is inspired by structures in the natural world - like the microscopically small grooves in a shark's skin that channel water in a controlled manner. It can be applied on fibres or yarns before the actual textile production rather than post-impregnated after garment production.
Glenmuir’s new Autumn Winter 2012 Collection features more than 125 products for Men, Lady and Junior golfers in two all-new colour schemes; Winter Sun (blacks, greys, rose, iris and white); Urban Retreat (black, reds, dark greens and creams).
