Staff at Lanark-based golf apparel companies Glenmuir and Sunderland raised much needed funds for Rachel House hospice last week with a special ‘Tartan or Tiara’ Charity Day.

Organised by Lorna Neil and Monica Morton, staff were encouraged to wear either tartan or regal headwear for the day and raised a total of £100 for the hospice.

As part of the day, there were prizes on offer for the best dressed in tartan, won by Andy Irving from the embroidery department and also a prize for the best tiara, won by Alexis McCarvil from the company’s Customer Service Department.

Situated at Balloch near Loch Lomond Rachel House, Scotland's first children's hospice, was opened in 1996.

The hospice is purpose-built and provides ongoing support for up to 200 families from across Scotland each year. For more information visit www.chas.org.uk/rachel-house

Glenmuir and Sunderland, based at Delves Road, Lanark, are two of Europe’s largest suppliers of golf wear.
