SEVE'S 1997 RYDER CUP

The 32nd Ryder Cup Matches were held at the Valderrama Golf Club in Sotogrande, Spain, the first time the Ryder Cup was help in Continental Europe.

Glenmuir worked with the great Seve Ballesteros in designing the European Ryder Cup Team Shirts and Knitwear. "Whenever we were unsure of a shot, Seve would appear, out of the blue," said Spain's Ignacio Garrido. "He was our father. We may have held the clubs, but Seve hit the shots."

EUROPE VICTORIOUS IN SPAIN: OLE! OLE!

The European Team retained the Ryder Cup by a margin of 14½ to 13½ with European victory assured when Colin Montgomerie continued his unbeaten run in Ryder Cup singles matches with a half against Scott Hoch.

The European Ryder Cup Team wore Glenmuir Howth and Valderrama Golf Shirts and Cashmere Golf Sweaters.
