How do your golf clothes fit?
Our golf clothing sizing is UK standard sizing. If you are used to US sizing or prefer a more classic fit, we advise you to size up. If you are used to European Slim Fit or prefer a more fitted look then we advise you to size down.
Our outerwear jackets are generally slightly more generous on sizing compared with our sweaters and midlayers. Click here for more information.
Are your size measurements when the product is stretched or unstretched?
All measurements are to fit measurements, i.e. they are the measurements of your body and not the product. The garments are designed to fit the body size stated on our website.
Do you offer an alteration service?
Unfortunately not. You are most welcome to make any alterations yourself, but please note this means you are unable to return or exchange the product. Care must be taken when altering waterproof products especially as to ensure the waterproof membrane is not burst. For any windproof products this should not be a problem.
Will my golf clothing products shrink?
All of our products are made from fabrics which are pre-shrunk before they are measured, cut and put together by our craftsmen and women. This means that if you follow the care instructions on our products carefully you should not see any shrinkage in any of our products.
Will my golf sweater pill or bobble?
Our signature anti-pill finish and use of natural fibres such as lambswool, merino wool and cotton ensures long lasting durability and resistance to pilling.
Learn more about pilling and how best to prevent it in our article 'Why Does Knitwear Sometimes Bobble and How Best to Prevent It?' in our Glenmuir Golf Journal.
How do I care for my golf waterproofs?

Where are your golf waterproofs made?
Sunderland of Scotland take the provenance, quality and durability of our products very seriously. We make many of our products here in the UK, and mostly in Europe, but we also use a few specialist overseas partner factories. This allows us to use cutting edge fabric technology, craftsmanship and innovative design. Our partner factories are selected on the basis of strict conditions on quality of product and comply with all legislation – including child labour and fair rates of pay. In addition, we select partners who specialise in product supply into Europe and who are fully EEC compliant.
