Storm Bloc® and Whisperdry® technology
Winter golfers need protection too, that’s where Glenmuir’s Storm Bloc® technology can help. Our outerwear and midlayer items are thoroughly tested to ensure seams and fabric are as weatherproof as possible. The garments use three-layers, including a water repellent outer, a wind-resistant middle layer and a highly breathable sweat wicking layer to help you brave the elements. You’ll find the technology in the Elrick Zip Front Jacket for Men and the Poppy Zip Front Jacket for Women.

For further reassurance, Sunderland of Scotland’s Whisperdry® fabric comes with a lifetime waterproof guarantee. The Men’s Whisperdry Pro-lite Golf Jacket achieves an impressive 8,000mm waterproof rating.

Insulating down
All golfers should invest in a warm outer layer for colder months and finding an item that retains heat is just the start. You’ll need a garment that keeps the cold at bay and is breathable too. Our Storm Bloc® insulating down is designed to wick away moisture so that it keeps you warm while minimising sweating.

Wrapping up doesn’t have to mean bulking up. We pair our insulating down with flexible fabrics to give you the freedom to swing, chip and putt without restrictions. For example, the Bute Padded Gilet and Anton Panel Gilet use stretch binding around the arm holes and hem. Wearers of the Callander Hybrid Down Jacket also benefit from stretch fleece sleeves too.

Textile samples in a range of colours

Mercerised cotton
You might not have heard of mercerisation, the textile finishing treatment that gives your favourite golf shirts a lustrous silk-like handle. The process, named after a dye and fabric chemist, helps to remove stray fibres and even improves dye uptake to keep your clothing looking newer for longer.

We believe so much in the process that we double mercerise our cotton shirts, including the Hamish Tartan Trimmed Golf Shirt and our Larkin Narrow Stripe Golf Shirt. Our golf polo shirts are more durable and softer than other options on the market. If you’re looking for a touch of luxury and vivid colours for the course, keep your eye out for this feature.

Merino wool
Whether it’s on a Christmas sweater or a warm bobble hat, merino wool is synonymous with quality clothing. Because it’s been around for so long it’s easy to overlook the material’s impressive benefits.

Our Men's Merino Golf Sweaters and Women’s Merino Golf Sweaters are made from the finest Italian-spun yarn to deliver a soft finish and a flattering drape, all whilst being machine washable and shrink-resistant. The sustainable fibres absorb and release moisture, becoming breathable in warm temperatures whilst insulating in cooler temperatures. Our hand-knitted sweaters are naturally odour-neutralising too, so you can be confident in your swing during a demanding 18 holes.

UV protection
It’s not just creams, sunglasses and hats that protect us from the sun but our everyday clothing too. Most garments offer basic protection but some manufacturers treat their products to make them even more dependable under the sun’s harmful rays. Take our Men’s Performance Shirts and Women’s Performance Shirts for example, they’re specially designed to provide +40 UV protection for rounds of golf during the summer months or when playing in hotter climates abroad.

The Campbell Men's Contrast Polo Shirt comes in two tones and even features an anti-curl collar to keep you looking cool and composed on the course. If you want to protect more of your skin, the Max Long Sleeve Performance Shirt covers your forearms for extra peace of mind.
